We want it to make it easy for you to come to church. We want your first experience at St. Andrew's to be enjoyable and stress free, greeted by friendly people who will welcome you warmly. We know that first-time visits to any church raise many questions and concerns.

Here's a quick look at some frequently asked questions that will hopefully give you a better idea of what to expect when you visit St. Andrew's. If you don't see an answer to your question here or on other parts of the site, please call the office at 905-356-1624. Our staff will be happy to assist you in preparation for your visit to St. Andrew's.

Where do I park?

You can park in the lots on either side of St. Andrew's (off Morrison Street.) If it's really busy and you can't find a spot, just park across the road at Oakes Park.

Where do I go?

Greeters are located at each entrance to St. Andrew's and they'll help you find your way to the church for the service, to the children's or youth areas, or to any specific meeting area.

What should I wear?

Dress comfortably. We're more concerned with meeting your needs than focusing on what you wear. While some people choose to dress up, most people wear casual clothing, especially at the contemporary service.

When do I need to arrive?

Sunday morning services begin with a Contemporary service at 9:15 am, and a Traditional service starting at 11 am. Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the service or Sunday School class time to allow adequate time for parking and finding your way to the right location.

How do the Sunday morning services differ?

The 9:15 am service is contemporary and features St. Andrew's Worship Band leading the singing of praise songs. The 11 am service is traditional with the singing of hymns accompanied by the organ or piano, and the St. Andrew's choir. Both the 9:15 am and 11 am services also feature the use of occasional drama or video to enhance the worship experience.

Do you hold Services on days other than Sunday?

Yes, Contemporary services are held on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm from September through June.

Where do my children go?

St. Andrew's childrens and youth programs are located in the area near, and above the gym. Care is provided for infants in the nursery, and pre-schoolers meet across the hall in the Noah's Ark room. Children from JK to grade 5 join "The Flock" on Sunday mornings at 9:15. The Flock strives to create a most innovative and creative program to bring the love of Christ to a new generation. For Grades 6 to 8 it's Y.U.C. (Youth United in Christ). The Y.U.C. start their program in the church before heading off to the youth area.

Is the church handicap accessible?

Yes. There is reserved parking adjacent to the church in both the East and West parking lots. The building is also equipped with wheelchair accessible entrances and handicap accessible restrooms. The church has seating available specifically for wheelchairs, and plans are in the works to add a        chair lift that will allow access to the upstairs youth area. Should you need a wheelchair to use or require assistance, please call the church office ahead of time and we'll be ready to help you get to where you're going.

How are visitors recognized?

It's very important to us that you have a wonderful worship experience at St. Andrew's, without being made to feel uncomfortable in any way. Nobody will ask you to stand up or do anything to single you out. We want you to feel so good about your visit to St. Andrew's that you'll want to return again soon. We do encourage visitors to fill out a Guest Information Card and just pop it in the offering plate. That way we will have a record of your visit, and you can let us know if we can be of help to you in any way.

We hope you'll join us soon.
